By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use the Service
- Students under 18 may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian. By registering, the parent or guardian confirms they have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy and consent on the child's behalf.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's use of the Service.
- You must give true information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. What the Service is
CareerVista provides career information, a self-assessment tool, guides, games and optional counselling to help families think about streams and careers. It is guidance and education, not a guarantee. Please read our Disclaimer. We do not promise admission to any college, success in any exam, or any job or income.
3. Your responsibilities
You agree not to: (a) break any law; (b) upload harmful, abusive or misleading content; (c) try to hack, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service; (d) share your account or another person's account; (e) copy, resell or publish our guides, tests or content without permission; (f) pretend to be someone else or falsely claim to be a parent or guardian.
4. Our content and your licence
The Service, including guides, tests, text, designs, questions and software, belongs to CareerVista or its licensors and is protected by Indian copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own or your family's education and to print guides for personal use. Any other use needs our written permission.
5. Your data
You own the information you provide. You allow us to use it to run the Service as explained in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete it at any time in the dashboard.
6. Games, XP and badges
XP, levels and badges are for learning and fun. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
7. Counselling and paid services
Counselling is based on the information you share. Outcomes depend on many factors outside our control. If we offer paid services, the price, what is included and the cancellation and refund rules will be shown before you pay, and we will follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and applicable e-commerce rules. 8. Third-party services and links
The Service uses providers such as Supabase, Netlify, Google and WhatsApp, and may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their content or services.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, pause or stop features. We may update these Terms and will tell you about important changes.
10. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises about accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be excluded.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent permitted by law, CareerVista is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in the 12 months before the claim, or Rs. 1,000 if you paid nothing. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first contact us at [privacy@yourdomain.in] so we can try to resolve the issue in good faith. Courts at [Hyderabad, Telangana] will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer.
